A tourist gem in Dumaguete that is hidden and overlooked by most visitors is the Bell Church, a Taoist temple at the southern end of Rizal Boulevard.
If you want to visit this quiet place at the mouth of the Banica River and by the sea, drive or walk over the bridge and you will see the Chinese building structures on your left, but no access. They must continue along the road until the next opportunity to turn left to the Calindagan Barangay Hall and then they are right at the entrance to the Bell Church.
Considering that Negros Island doesn’t really have many Chinese temples, the Bell Church is well worth a visit.
